Hello, I’m Deb - a Kiwi-born, Melbourne-based surface pattern designer and self-taught artist creating colourful designs inspired by nature, place, pattern, memory, colour and landscape, with a strong love of mid-century modern and geometric style.

My creative journey has taken me through textiles, embroidery, printmaking and fine art, all of which continue to shape the way I approach pattern and composition today. Surface pattern design allows me to bring together my love of colour, visual storytelling and structure in a way that feels both expressive and deeply personal.

I’m especially inspired by local flora, landscape, organic textures and the subtle patterns that connect us to place, alongside the clarity, balance and rhythm of mid-century modern and geometric design.

The result is a body of work that moves between playful, graphic collections and more reflective, story-led designs, all created to bring warmth, beauty and character into everyday spaces.

My designs can be explored through my portfolio and on Spoonflower across fabric, wallpaper and home decor. I also welcome collaboration and licensing enquiries for original artwork with a distinctive, nature-inspired voice.
